Chris Simmons, a JK Harris Licensed Taxpayer Representative, is a prime example of the advancement opportunities you may find at our company. After college, Chris could not find the right job for him in his degree major. Seeing an advertisement in the newspaper for JK Harris, he applied and started off working in our mailroom. From there, he moved into an administrative position in the tax resolution department. When the company sent out a message announcing an in-house Enrolled Agents training course, Chris jumped at the chance for further training. Earning his Enrolled Agent card was the ticket to his current position as a Licensed Taxpayer Representative. For Chris, what started out as a promising opportunity ended up leading him to find a career that is challenging and enjoyable.

Our employees have stepped up to help those in need time and time again. When a fellow employee needed a new, specially modified van that he could drive from his wheelchair, JK Harris employees generously raised more than $50,000 to help him purchase the van. In times of crisis, JK Harris employees have committed to helping those in need. Our employees donated over $30,000 to the victims of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina and $14,000 to the families of the firefighters killed in the Sofa Super Store fire in June 2007.
