JK Harris to Present Tax and Financial Tips Seminar at Trade Show
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Bernard Bandish, a Certified Financial Planner ™ practitioner and Vice President of JK Harris Advisors, LLC, will be presenting a seminar on Tax and Financial Tips for Small Businesses at the 2005 Archery Trade Association Show in Indianapolis, Ind., Jan. 6-8, 2005.
The 2005 ATA Trade Show will be held in the Indianapolis Convention Center and is expected to attract more than 8,000 attendees – most of whom own small businesses which cater to the archery and bowhunting industry. Also expected to attend will be 2,900 buyers, 270 media representatives and 480 exhibitors. The show is closed to the public and is for members of the ATA only.
Assisting Bandish at the seminar will be Gail Goodroe, Vice President of JK Harris Small Business Services, LLC, a small business accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation firm. Both JK Harris Advisors and JK Harris Small Business Services are divisions of JK Harris and Company, LLC, the nation’s largest and most successful tax resolution firm.
Among the topics Bandish and Goodroe plan to discuss are:
- Setting and reaching financial goals for the business and business owner
- Separating business and personal finances
- Setting up a proper business structure in order to protect personal assets;
- Maximizing business and personal tax deductions; and
- Complying with IRS requirements.
“Based on our experience in helping thousands of small business owners with tax and financial planning, we’ll key in on topics that we hope will be of interest to members of the association and help them avoid making some of the mistakes that we commonly see,” said Bandish, who also serves as Executive Vice President for Financial Services at JK Harris and Company.
While Bandish will concentrate mainly on tax and financial planning issues, Goodroe will discuss the nuts and bolts of small business accounting, bookkeeping and tax preparation.
The Archery Trade Association, formerly known as the Archery Manufacturers and Merchants Organization (AMO), provides the core funding and direction for two new foundations critical to the future of archery and bowhunting: ArrowSport and the Bowhunting Preservation Alliance (BPA).
