JK Harris Announces Relief For Victims Of Hurricane Katrina
JK Harris & Company President and CEO John Harris announced today special relief for customers in the Presidential Disaster Areas struck by Hurricane Katrina.
Harris said JK Harris clients who make monthly payments to the company for tax resolution, debt settlement and other financial services will have their payments deferred for the remainder of 2005. A Stay of Collections (SOC) also will be requested for JK Harris clients affected by the storm.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of Hurricane Katrina," Harris said. "Our customers in the affected areas have so much on their minds right now, we hope this will alleviate some of the pressures they are facing now and into the coming months."

Acadia, Ascension, Assumption, Calcasieu, Cameron, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Martin, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.
Alabama Counties:
Baldwin, Mobile and Washington.
Mississippi Counties:
Amite, Forrest, George, Greene, Hacock, Harrison, Jackson, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall and Wilkins.
