JK Harris Extends Relief To Victims Of Hurricane Rita
JK Harris & Company President and CEO John Harris announced today special relief for customers in the Presidential Disaster Areas struck by Hurricane Katrina would also be extended to customers affected by Hurricane Rita.
Harris said JK Harris clients who make monthly payments to the company for tax resolution, debt settlement and other financial services will have their payments deferred for the remainder of 2005 while the company continues to work their case. Interest will not accrue during this time and administrative fees will not be charged.
Harris had announced Sept. 1, relief for victims of Hurricane Katrina. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita," Harris said. "We felt given the damage caused by Hurricane Rita, we would extend the deferment of payments to those JK Harris customers as well. Customers in the affected areas have so much on their minds, we hope this will alleviate some of the pressures they are facing now and into the coming months."

Acadia, Ascension, Assumption, Calcasieu, Cameron, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, St. Mary, St. Martin, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Vermilion, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.
Alabama Counties:
Baldwin, Mobile and Washington.
Mississippi Counties:
Amite, Forrest, George, Greene, Hacock, Harrison, Jackson, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall and Wilkins.
