    Help for fallen firefighters

    July 6th, 2007

I recently announced that the company would lead an effort to collect donations from our employees to assist the families of Charleston’s fallen firefighters.  I am proud to report that JK Harris employees have raised nearly $9,000.  Along with JK Harris‘ donation of $5,000, we will be writing a check to the City of Charleston Fireman’s Fund for $14,000.  For more information, read the JK Harris Press Release.

Time and again, our employees have stepped up to the challenge to raise funds for those in need.  This effort was no different.  As a matter of fact, it didn’t take our employees long to collect this money for these families.  I think it’s important to note that while we are a business that assists individuals and businesses with tax problems, we are also a business that’s committed to helping those in need and those less fortunate.  Today is yet another proud day for all of JK Harris, and I am fortunate to be in the company of so many dedicated, caring individuals.  We can only hope that our contribution will help ease the pain and suffering of these families trying to cope with the reality of losing a loved one.
